I  am a family systems therapist in Yelm, Washington who works with individuals, couples, and  families in a positive and creative manner.  We work together to reduce suffering, address trauma, solve behavior and relationship issues, and to enhance clients' enjoyment of life.  Mindfulness, communication techniques, and expressive  therapies may be used to facilitate change.  Cognitive behavioral methods are used to affect changes in behavior, improve enjoyment of life, and create new thinking patterns.  Good therapy builds on strengths and abilities you already have, while giving you the tools to make the changes you desire.

I have been in  private practice in Yelm since 2016 as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the State of Washington.  I am also licensed as a Nationally Certified Counselor  (NCC.)  have a  Masters Degree in Counseling and Psychology from St Martins University.  In January of 2026 I was honored to join the Board of Directors for the Washington Marriage and Family Therapist Association (WAMFT)  as the Membership  committee chair.  I additionally serve on the Mentorship Day committee and the  Ethics, Training and Standards Committee.  I have worked extensively as a Coach and Equine Assisted Therapist for over 30 years.

My counseling and coaching style is supportive, positive, and creative. During counseling, we focus on building communication skills, and growing deeper connections and stronger relationships with others. Humor, and playful interaction is encouraged. 

For couples, I have special training in communication, and sex therapy.  My work is informed by the work of Esther Perel, and Harville Hendrix's  Imago therapy.  I enjoy working with couples to create a more peaceful, joyful, and functional relationship.  

My office is located at 503 Van Trump Ave NW in Yelm.  I'm on the corner of Solberg and Van Trump by Yelm Middle School.
